In this position, as guided by our clinical team’s standards and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will:
- Deliver care within their role boundaries and based on their qualifications.
- Work closely with individuals diagnosed with severe mental health conditions, emphasizing compassion, care, and independence.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring precise documentation after all procedures.
- Support individuals in their daily activities such as personal hygiene, dietary needs, budgeting, and more.
- Promote physical health, well-being, and even assist in health monitoring tasks after undergoing the requisite training.
- Ensure a safe, hazard-free environment, maintaining the dignity and privacy of service users.
- Advocate for equality, diversity, and rights in line with best practices and laws.
- Implement and evaluate care plans under supervision and record the results accordingly.
- Assist in planning and organizing therapeutic and social activities.
- If needed, accompany service users as instructed by senior staff.
- Adhere to regulations like the Mental Health Act 1983 and protocols related to child and vulnerable adult protection.
- Foster strong relationships with service users, engaging in evidence-based therapeutic interventions with guidance from the multidisciplinary team.
